Man arrested in El Cajon, California dental office shooting that killed 1, hurt 2: Police

A shooting in El, Cajon, California has left one person dead and two others injured. A suspect has been taken into custody, according to police.

El Cajon Police found 29-year-old Mohammed Abdulkareem and took him into custody on Thursday, hours after the shooting and the white U-Haul pickup truck police said he used to flee the scene was found. Before his arrest, he was considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting took place at a dental office in El Cajon, California on Thursday afternoon. One man was killed in the shooting, police said, the and two others: a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, were taken to areas hosptials. Both victims were reported to be "stable," Capt. Rob Ransweiler told local media.

El Cajon is a city in Southern California's San Diego County, located about 16 miles east of San Diego.

Identity of victims or motive for shooting not yet released by police

Police have not released any identifying information about the man who was killed or the two other victims. However, Jose Antonio told NBC San Diego that his daughter, Yareli, was one of the shooting victims. Antonio said she is 27 and works in the front of the dental office.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released any other information on Abdulkareem or any possible motive for the shooting.
