Nelly Korda is chasing history in the "Garden State."
Entering the Cognizant Founders Cup, Korda is the winner of five straight LGPA tournaments, joining golf legends Annika Sorenstam and Nancy Lopez as the only LGPA golfers to achieve the feat.
Should Korda secure the victory this weekend, then she'll have etched her name in the record books, in an already incredibly successful career.

USA TODAY Sports will track highlights and more from Korda's chase for glory this weekend at the Cognizant Founders Cup.
Korda's first round of the Cognizant Founders Cup was steady and uneventful, as she finds herself five shots back as she attempts to win her sixth straight tournament. After a bogey on 13, Korda settled for par on four straight holes before sinking a birdie putt at 18 to finish with a 3-under 69. Fellow American Auston Kim, finished the day tied for 11th at 2-under.
Korda trails Sweden's Madelene Sagstrom, who had six birdies and one eagle in her round and finished with a 7-under 65 for the day. Grace Kim of Australia was three shots back, and eight other golfers were four back.
On the back nine, Korda started with a par on the first hole and then made easy work of the Par 5 second hole to get within three shots of the lead, but Madelene Sagstrom has increased her lead after a birdie on three straight holes and is the leader at 7-under through 16 holes.
Korda finished her Thursday Front 9 on a positive note: She sank a lengthy birdie putt to drop to one-under in the tournament. It's her second birdie of the day, though she did bogey the Par 4 13th hole.
Through nine holes in Thursday's Round 1, Korda is one-under (tied for 11th).
ESPN+ and Peacock broadcast the Cognizant Founders Cup beginning Thursday. ESPN+ will stream featured groups, including that of Korda.
Korda is one third of the feature group that tees off in Round 1 on Thursday, alongside Jin Young Ko and Minjee Lee.
According to the LGPA, Korda has raked in $11,361,489 entering the Cognizant Founders Cup. That ranks 23rd all time amongst LGPA golfers.
Nelly Korda was born in Bradenton, Florida. She currently resides in Bradenton.
Korda did her hometown proud in January 2024, when she won the LGPA Drive On Championship at the Bradenton Country Club.
