With the 13th pick in the 2024 NBA draft, the Sacramento Kings selected Providence guard Devin Carter.
Carter played his last two seasons at Providence, transferring from South Carolina where he started his collegiate career. The Florida native is coming off his best season, in which he was named Big East Player of the Year and was also selected for the first team All-Big East squad.
Here's what to know about Carter:
Strong, physical guard who can score from multiple spots on the court and will post-up smaller guards. Provides outstanding rebounding and shot-blocking from his position. Son of former NBA guard Anthony Carter. — Jeff Zillgitt
In 33 games in 2023-24, Carter averaged 19.7 points per game (47.3% shooting), 8.7 rebounds per game, 3.6 assists per game, 1.8 steals. He shot 37.7% from beyond the arc.
The 22-year-old Carter measures in at 6-foot-2 and 193 lbs.
